| Which do like better, dubbed anime or subbed anime? Generally, I gotta go with subbed. just because the subbed ones end up being much better. | |

| Definitely subbed. The voice actors are usually better, and I enjoy learning the language as I watch my favorite show. You can pick up a lot. I do like the dub of Yu Yu Hakusho better than the sub. It's a lot funnier--they put in so many hilarious quips that the Japanese doesn't have--and the acting is good. It's not all dead and dry, the way many dubs are, or annoying (though your mileage may vary on Kuwabara's voice, but he's kinda supposed to be that way. ) I also prefer the dub of Code Lyoko, though that's a french series. | |

| Subbed, definitely. I've seen some Dubbed ones, and they make me sad. It's so, so, so bad. And it's mostly the voice actors. English voice actors are pitiful when it comes to English versions of Japanese anime, or anime in any other language, really. (Though, considering I grew up watching dubbed SM, I might be a hypocrite?) Either way, I love the subbed versions now. | |

| Okay, I'm a pretty hardcore anime fan, so don't judge me for this... but I prefer dubbed. OH GOD. THERE. I SAID IT.
I watched subbed as well and know a bit of Japanese, so it's always a great experience and the voices are wonderful and talented, but I do prefer dubbed. You get some anime that sound extremely terrible dubbed (like Vampire Knight or Hellsing), but I just feel more comfortable listening to the English voices. That, and I can look away without missing part of the subtitles, or focus on more subtle facial expressions and whatnot.
I don't see anything wrong with dubbed, nor with subbed, and I mix 'em up regularly (and some anime isn't always dubbed). I guess I just prefer English because there's a lot more variety when it comes to accents and, well, it's easier to watch. I think both are normally very talented, except in rare cases.
Don't judge me. <3 | |

| If it's a good quality dub, I'd prefer that. Anything that was officially released in any english speaking country (basically studio ghibli) is far better than a sub. Terrible subs are better than terrible dubs though. | |
