"Beautiful kits- are they yours?"

Redfern looked up at her mate and grinned. "Why yes, they are."

"Feels nice, stayin' in one place," Spark admitted. "So have you thought of names yet?"

"Sort of. This little tabby- what do you think?"

Spark stared at the kit in question. It was a tom, with a hint of his mother's reddish color in his brown fur. "Hm. Look at the legs on him."

"Tallkit?"

As if he knew his name, the tom looked up at his mother and mewed.

"Guess that settles it," purred Spark. "How 'bout the other two?"
